An Intimate Wedding on a Sailboat in the New York Harbor

I recently had the opportunity to photograph a small, beautiful wedding on an old sailboat in the New York Harbor. The Ventura, built in 1919, offered us views of the impressive NYC skyline, the Statue of Liberty, and Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges. Jen and Tom were married by Captain Pat with Lady Liberty and their immediate families looking on. As they kissed, after rings were exchanged, a crew member blew into a large conch shell to announce the union. While this was not my first time photographing an event while battling the rocky waves of the New York harbor, this was my first time photographing on such a small vessel. All of my hands-free subway riding paid off, and I somehow managed not to lose the camera overboard.
